Coupon Lingo

If you are just getting starting in couponing, you'll find that it's almost a different language sometimes!! I have a lot of the lingo on my sidebar if you ever forget, but here is the general breakdown of what everything means...

OOP - out of pocket money
CRT - cash register tape (a coupon at the end of your receipt)
YMMV - your mileage may vary (means that the deal can be store/cashier/manager specific)
P&G - proctor and gamble coupon insert in the sunday paper
RP - redplum coupon insert
SS - smartsource coupon insert
B1G1 - buy 1 item get 1 item free
B1G2 - buy 1 get 2 items free
GC - gift card
catalina - the coupons that print at the register at most grocery stores

$1/1, $1/2 - $1 off 1 item, $1 off 2 items, etc.
Blinkies - the machines at stores that blink on the sides that spit out coupons. Look like this:

Peelies - coupons that are stuck directly on the item. You have to "peel" it off to use it. Like this:

Tearpads -just a stack of coupons taped to the shelf, you can take one or 20 off the pad.

ECB - extra care bucks, this is CVS in store money that prints at the end of your receipt. They are specific to YOUR card.

RR - Register Rewards, this is Walgreens in store money that prints from a catalina machine.

IVC - instant value coupon at Walgreens. You don't have to turn them in, so you can re-use the same coupon for multiple items. As well, if you buy 3 items and only use the one coupon, it will take off the correct amount for ALL THREE ITEMS. the computer figures it out.

OYNO - a catalina that give you a $$ amount off your next shopping order
UPC - universal product code, or the bar code
Stacking - using a store coupon and manufacturer coupon on the same item.

Any others that I forgot??

What is Stitch Fix? Review #1

Today I got my very first stitch fix and I'm so excited! First of all, what is it?

It's a monthly subscription clothing box. You pay $20 for a stylist to pick out some clothes for you based on height, preference, what you post on your Pinterest board, etc. They send you 5 items to try on at home with things you already own and you can pick whatever ones you want to keep. The $20 works as a credit toward anything you keep. You send back the rest and wait for your next box!

I decided to try this out because I don't really have stores for clothes shopping in my area. Plus, it's fun!

Do you want to try it out? Check it out here.

Okay, here is what I got in my first box:

They always send this cool styling card to show how to wear the clothes.

Don't mind my crazy face. These are the Mavi Freida Skinny Jeans.

Paired with the Pixley Tracy Dot Print Cross Back Knit Top

Added my jacket and the Octavia Jolene Zipper Flap Crossbody Bag.

Then I decided to pair with a skirt and …
